About my organization
Walden House has been a pioneer in the field of behavioral health since the non-profit’s beginnings in San Francisco’s Haight/Ashbury District in 1969. Since that time, the organization has grown to become one of the most respected treatment providers for underserved populations in the state. Walden House reduces the negative impact of substance abuse, mental health issues, HIV/AIDS and other associated problems on the community by offering direct clinical services to thousands of adults, adolescents and children at over 20 sites throughout California.
About the programs we offer
Walden House has developed a wide spectrum of services to help our clients meet the challenge of rebuilding their lives. We offer comprehensive adult and family services including client outreach, individual and group counseling; linkages to primary medical care and other community based human services; HIV/AIDS specific treatment services; professional mental health services; job skills training, career counseling, and educational services; transitional housing and aftercare support; and in-prison and parolee programs.
The Re-Entry Services Department offers clients access to a computer lab where they can develop basic computer skills, carry out a successful job search online, and access their email.
