About my organization

The Sisters of the Presentation, San Francisco, trace their history from the five founding sisters who came from Ireland at the request of Bishop Joseph Alemany in 1854. They came to teach Irish immigrants pouring into California as a result of the Gold Rush and California becoming a state.

The Sisters of the Presentation were founded in Cork, Ireland in 1775 by Nano Nagle and now serve the people of God throughout the world.

About the programs we offer
