About my organization
Our mission is to provide residents of the Tenderloin and other nonprofits with important technology and vocational skills that increase opportunities for employment, essential community resources, and connections with family and friends.
A collaboration between St. Anthony Foundation and Network Ministries.
St. Anthony's mission is to feed, heal, shelter, clothe, lift the spirits of those in need, and create a society in which all persons flourish.
San Francisco Network Ministries is devoted to the people of the Tenderloin with whom we work cooperatively for the empowerment of all, proclaiming good news for the poor and seeking liberty for those who are oppressed. We believe a vital Christian ministry moves beyond church walls, reaching people where they live and work. We believe that everyone has been given gifts for the common good, and we seek to draw out and affirm those gifts through personal, face-to-face ministry.
About the programs we offer
The Tenderloin Tech Lab is the Tenderloin’s only technology center specializing in adult computer and employment skills training, which aids nearly 1,000 homeless and low-income clients each year in overcoming the barriers to employment and accessing technology. Through our partnership with San Francisco Network Ministries, we offer free computer classes, job search counseling, and a drop-in computer lab all designed specifically for the learning styles of adults struggling with poverty, addiction, mental health challenges or homelessness.
Additionally, every quarter the Tenderloin Technology Lab unites the private sector and community partners at Tenderloin Tech Fairs, San Francisco’s largest-scale free tech help days. Through these gatherings clients can have their computers professionally diagnosed, take advanced computer skills courses, and access a wealth of resources.
