About my organization
Larkin Street Youth Services is the only organization providing the full spectrum of services needed to help San Francisco’s most vulnerable youth move beyond life on the street. We offer a range of housing options—from emergency shelter to permanent supportive housing—in addition to essential wraparound services including education, technology and employment training; healthcare, including mental health, substance abuse and HIV services; and case management.
Larkin Street’s continuum of care is internationally recognized as a model of innovative and effective care. Services are designed to offer kids the resources and skills they need to reach their full potential and contribute their best to the world.
About the programs we offer
Wire Up is an intensive 15 hour computer and technology skills course offered in LSYS’s state-of-the-art on-site computer lab. The curriculum, which includes vocational training in basic computer applications and Web site design, is linked specifically to the skills that businesses in the technology sector say they need the most. Wire Up classes run in conjunction with our Job Readiness Class to offer an advanced skill set of employment readiness and technology.
