HandsOn Tech VISTA Program
San Francisco is one of seven cities piloting a new program called HandsOn Tech. This national program (supported by CNCS, Points of Light, HandsOn Network, and Google) aims to promote the use of cloud computing technology to help organizations become more efficient and effective in supporting their mission.
Dan Hastings and Mun Loke, CTN's AmeriCorps VISTA members, will provide tech training to nonprofit staff, use skilled volunteers to offer training to community members, and conduct technology assessments for nonprofits interested in understanding cloud computing and adopting online tools at their organizations.
- Click here to learn about a free training for nonprofits on April 19 from 9am-5pm.
- If you are interested in the NPTech Empowerment Program, please complete this application.
If you are in the San Francisco Bay Area and interested in hosting or attending a nonprofit training, applying to have a tech assessment completed at your organization, or learning more about our community training, send a message through our contact form or sign up to receive our Network News e-newsletter.
Please note:
- We are especially interested in working with nonprofits in the South Bay.
- We are very interested in working with umbrella organizations that can host trainings for groups of NPOs.
- Because CTN exists to address the digital divide, NPOs with digital literacy programs and computer centers will be given priority if there is high demand.
