Information Age Education Campaign
Adults | Internet Basics | Spanish | Youth
The Information Age is changing our lives. Business, civic life, education, and communities have been profoundly affected by the Internet. In an effort to help adults participate and attain economic self-sufficiency, the City of Seattle and CTTAB have created a PowerPoint presentation called the Information Age Education Campaign.
The presentation is an outreach tool that targets under-served communities and encourages them to learn to use computers and the Internet. Its target audiences include low-income communities, seniors, immigrant communities, the computer-phobic, and those who, for whatever reason, have not been able to take advantage of new technology. It is an introduction to basic communications tools and free or almost-free training.
