IGNITE
Women & Girls Programs
IGNITE works closely with the Seattle School District encouraging high school girls to consider careers in technology. They do presentations at schools, field trips to local companies, and web design classes. IGNITE has sponsored their first ever 2-day career conference for Seattle high school girls in March 2002. IGNITE is a group of diverse women in the Seattle area, who have come together to volunteer for girls. IGNITE has been steadily building a success story in Seattle, WA by exposing teenage girls to the high-tech industry. Many people outside of Seattle who want to ignite a similar spark in their communities have approached us for help with starting IGNITE chapters.
