Join us for this free workshop designed to help you better foster your mission goals through best practices, lessons learned, and shared resources. Just a few of the questions we will address: What are the varied types of organizations that are considered CTCs— and am I one? What does a successful CTC look like? Am I aware of all of the funding avenues available to CTCs? We will also:
  • Explore free resources to help you develop, add new programs and manage your CTC
  • Examine CTC essentials such as strategic program focus and effective evaluation
  • Discover the CTC community -- in the North Bay and beyond – and collaborate on ways to foster its network and identity
  • Discuss your specific needs and how we can work together to solve your challenges

Workshop Agenda:

12:45 - 1:00 Before the event Networking
1:00 - 3:00 Interactive Presentations
3:00 - 3:30 Meet the experts and networking opportunity with light bites and beverages

Guest Speakers Include:

  • Rhunette Alums, Director-External Affairs, AT&T who will discuss the company’s outreach and funding initiatives in the North Bay
  • Cynthia Dempsey, founding Executive Director, Cybermill offering examples of winning CTC models and success stories
  • CTNBA Steering Committee Members, Kevin Hickey and Candyce Mackabee, will facilitate.

Why should I attend? This workshop affords an opportunity to network with other CTC and community organizations whose driving mission is technology.

Who is this for? Program Directors and Staff of:

* Computer Labs (Faith based or secular)
* After School Programs
* Technology Clubs
* Teen and Senior Media Centers

What is a CTC? Community Technology Centers (CTCs) are independent community service, social action, and/or education programs or services that provide computer access and related technology to those who might not otherwise have opportunities to learn about or use computers.

Not a CTNBA member? Join today at www.ctnbayarea.org and connect with other CTCs in the North Bay and build bridges with the larger network of CTCs throughout the Bay Area and nationwide.
