Spanish-speaking computer tutors needed
Homeless Prenatal Program helps low-income people break the cycle of poverty by providing computer and job skills training. Clients learn computer skills at the Computer Training Center but often need additional help and advice to begin using their new skills.
You may not think you're a computer expert, but if you are Spanish-speaking and know your way around the Internet, email and Office productivity programs we could use your help!
At this event, volunteers will provide one-on-one computer and Internet tutoring to Spanish-speaking low-income adults. After a brief
training session, you will work one-on-one to demonstrate software and online resources that will help with their daily lives. Topics will be determined by the participants and their interests. Possible topics may include how to set up an email account, online GED or other classes, online translation services and useful health information websites.
No previous teaching or training experience necessary - just patience and enthusiasm.
