Partnerships for Learning: JVS and ECS Unite

CTN is all about partnerships, so we were delighted to learn that JVS has teamed up with Episcopal Community Services (ECS) to provide computer classes for low-income individuals.  Classes will take place at JVS (Bush St, San Francisco) throughout January and will cover three introductory topics:  Word, Excel and Outlook.  

The partners are working together under San Francisco's Office of Economic and Workforce Development (OEWD), from which we can infer that computer competency is a top priority for the government agency charged with getting citizens into work.  CTN will be hoping this partnership continues beyond January and the two organizations continue to work together for digital literacy and economic impact.
