CTN Executive Director Wins Award

Last Thursday, I attended YNPN’s Annual Party and accepted the award of Young Executive Director of the Year. I was joined by Galina Angarova (pictured below) from Pacific Environment, who was named the Young Nonprofit Professional of the Year, and Jessamine Chin, who was selected as Young Nonprofit Board Member of the Year for her service on the YNPN Advisory Board.

I am very thankful for YNPN in many ways. They provide a great listserv that I read and post to regularly. Through the listserv, I’ve learned about events that would normally not come to my attention. For example, I was directed to the Judith O'Connor Memorial Fund Scholarships for Emerging Nonprofit Leaders, which provides scholarships to the Leadership Forum organized yearly by BoardSource. I then applied and was selected to receive a scholarship to attend the conference, which includes a yearly membership to BoardSource.
